We are Richmond Rise

Our goal is to provide Richmond citizens with the option to vote for experienced, reliable, and enthusiastic City Council candidates with a track record of getting things done, who are ready to work hard and focus on issues that matter the most to residents.

Building on the extensive experience of our candidates and in response to feedback received from Richmond residents and community leaders, Richmond Rise has identified four (4) policy priorities to guide their public service over the next four years:

Public Safety

- Collaborate with community organizations, business associations, civic officials, and protective services to create a safe community where resources are available to ensure local authorities are able to provide services for those who live, work and play in Richmond.

Housing

- Adopt a multi-pronged approach to Richmond housing solutions that promotes collaboration between all levels of government, the private sector, co-operatives, denominational and non-profit organizations.
- Ensure residents have access to a wider variety of home options – including apartment-style towers, co-op housing, townhomes and single family homes.

Seniors Living

- With our rapidly aging society and out of respect to our elders, actively promote quality of life issues for local seniors in partnership with Richmond’s excellent network of community organizations.
- Fully integrate needs of Richmond seniors into housing strategies to ensure elders can remain in their communities, close to family members and friends.
- Ensure seniors care aides, nurses and home support professionals have access to affordable housing options in Richmond, close to the elders and families they serve.

Good Government

- Ensure access and delivery of municipal services is effective, equitable, and transparent.
- Support the establishment of reliable benchmarks citizens, businesses and community organizations can expect in their interactions with municipal agencies.
- Elected candidates will host at least four community open houses each year focused on each of these policy priorities (public safety, housing, seniors living, and good government).

ਸੀਨੀਅਰਜ਼ ਲਿਵਿੰਗ

· ਸਾਡੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਬੁੱਢੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਦਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਰਿਚਮੰਡ ਦੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਨੈਟਵਰਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰੋ।
· ਰਿਚਮੰਡ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਊਸਿੰਗ ਰਣਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਣ।

- 确保市政服务的获取和交付是有效、公平和透明的。
- 支持建立公民、企业和社区组织在与市政机构互动时可以期待的可靠基准。

Richmond Rise has been established by long-standing community leaders who understand City Council’s important role to continuously strengthen our community’s quality of life and economic prosperity. Our goal is to provide Richmond citizens with the option to vote for City Council candidates that are ready to work hard and focus on issues that matter the most to residents.
